Why is the World becoming more sinful as the Pentecostal Movement Rises?
The Pentecostal movement has been growing rapidly for approximately 125 years, with even those outside of its umbrella picking up charismatic elements from it. And yet this rapid rise has not resulted in the world becoming more righteous or more godly. In fact, it is doing the exact opposite — the world is waxing worse and worse with each and every passing year.
We have seen rapid rises in abortion, the LGBT movement, children born out of wedlock, adultery, divorce, and all manner of wickedness. I do not think anyone would deny that the world is becoming worse and more sinful. But that does not logically make sense if the Pentecostal movement is truly the right religion. If you are the right movement and you are growing at such a rapid rate, why is the world not becoming more godly as a result?
Now you might say — well, that is just a logical argument. Where is the biblical argument to back this up? Maybe they are rising in numbers, but that does not necessarily mean the world has to become more godly. Actually, it is a biblical argument. The Bible says at the end of Isaiah 26:9: "For when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness." So if you are truly the right religion and the right movement, why is it that the inhabitants of the world are not learning righteousness? Why are we seeing the exact opposite?
The world is becoming like a modern-day Sodom and Gomorrah. It is going back to the days of Noah. And the reason is that this Pentecostal movement, for all its rapid growth and noise and excitement, is not resulting in a more godly world. A movement that is truly of God and truly preaching the right message should be producing righteousness in the earth. The fruit simply is not there.
